A couple of weeks ago, I was able to do a quick little shoot with one of my favourite photographers, Nelly Skoufatoglou

I had been following Nelly on Instagram for a little while and I was completely blown away when she asked if I wanted to work with her.

Our city had been placed under a strict Covid-19 Lockdown since September, and as some of Melbourne's restrictions lifted, we were itching to get creative. For Nelly, it meant that she could finally shoot again.

Since we still had some strict rules to follow, Nelly left the hair and makeup to me - we were not permitted to have a full team involved in the shoot. This meant I had to style and add the finishing touches to my looks, all on my own. If you're a Makeup Artist reading this, please don't judge your girl's skills, ok?!

Not going to lie, I was initially quite nervous about the whole thing because I loved Nelly's work so much and because I decided to get braces during the lockdown!

Nelly was so warm and lovely and encouraged me to embrace the metal in my mouth. Since our shoot, I've noticed so many fashion editorials featuring other models doing just that.  I mean, just take a look at Yan Yan Chan rocking her baby blue brackets!

Besides the braces featuring heavily in some of the shots, I styled the whole thing using pieces from Telling Time Vintage. Nelly brought along some stunning vintage jewellery from Constatina Vintage and I loved that we were able to come up with some bold looks with nothing but pre-loved fashion goodness!
